Many domainers (myself included) are seeing PPC drop down to nothing. But this post is not to complain about parking revenues. It is to (hopefully) motivate domainers to start developing mini-sites.
For me, mini-sites have been 1000% more profitable than parking, with some names. One of my favorites is SalviaFacts.com. Salvia is a new drug that [...]

Hyperlocal Dating Gone Guerilla

I#8217;m not one to give you a link, say two sentences and move on.  But this evening a domaining article made the front page of Digg, which doesn#8217;t happen very often.  And the only reason I#8217;m posting about it is because it involves one of the geodomain ideas I had written about.
The full article can [...]img src=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TrendDomaining/~4/445000071″ height=”1″ width=”1″/

Re-Examining The Purpose of The Internet

OK, so it’s been over 2 months since I’ve written anything here. I guess I’ll throw this one out there to see who’s really listening.Face it, most of your domains suck. Pretty bold statement, right? Want to hear something even bolder? ALL OF MY DOMAINS SUCK. Yep, they sure do. Every domain that I have in my portfolio, the developed ones, the parked ones, the static ones, they are all a great big vacuum, pulling at my brain 24 hours a day, EVERYDAY.There’s really not a moment that passes where I am not linking a domain name to an idea that presents itself. There’s rarely a moonlit night (even when I’m floating on a boat trying to escape the madness of the world) that I don’t correlate something about my life experience, to something about the Internet experience. Every book…

News Aggregation Or Stolen Content?

A couple weeks ago Jamie Zoch of DotWeekly.com posted about aggregation feeds here, and a few months earlier here.  I left a brief comment with my opinion on the first one.
A few aggregator sites use my feed; one even asked my permission before doing so.  Another one, DNHeadlines, sent me a courteous email informing me [...]img src=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TrendDomaining/~4/443887427″ height=”1″ width=”1″/

YummyNames.com launch a bit premature?

Last week, YummyNames.com went live. It is a premium market to sell Tucows domain name holdings. (Remember those domain names they were "illegally" housing?) As it turns out, the launch may have been a bit premature.
I had contacted YummyNames.com about some of their domain names, they informed me that my inquiry would be responded to [...]
